Trace the Lines TK worksheet

- Ages 4-5
- About 10 minutes
- Fine Motor
- You need: Pencil or crayon
A note for parents
Tracing straight, slanted, wavy, and round lines builds the hand control your child will use for every letter and number. It takes about 10 minutes, and it is fine to do one or two rows at a time.
How to help
- Check the grip: thumb and pointer finger pinch the pencil while it rests on the middle finger.
- Say the direction out loud as they trace, like "top to bottom" or "left to right."
- Stop when they get tired and come back to finish tomorrow.
Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
