Try it off paper: Write it in a tray
Spread a thin layer of salt or sand in a baking tray and let your child write their name with a finger. No pencil pressure, all the practice.
Parent tip
If your child resists, sit next to them and do your own page. Kids copy what you do far more than what you say.
