Trace the Shapes TK worksheet

- Ages 4-5
- About 10 minutes
- Fine Motor
- You need: Pencil or crayon
Level
Six shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval and diamond.
Ink
Paper
A note for parents
Tracing shapes is the quickest way to practise the strokes used in letters. Circles are the hardest, so expect wobbles.
How to help
- Start at the green dot and go the way the shape flows.
- Say "around and around" for circles and "down, across, up" for squares.
- Stop where the dashed line ends.
Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
