Cutting Practice TK worksheet

- Ages 4-5
- About 10 minutes
- Fine Motor
- You need: Child-safe scissors
A note for parents
Cutting along straight, zigzag, and curved lines strengthens the small hand muscles needed for writing. It takes about 10 minutes; please stay close and supervise the scissors.
How to help
- Show the "thumbs up" scissor grip: thumb in the small hole, fingers in the big one.
- Hold the paper with the other hand and turn it as you cut.
- Keep the cut pieces for a collage or a quick glue activity.
Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
