Hearing the first sound in a word is the first step to reading. Say the word slowly and stretch the first sound.
How to help
- Say the word and stretch the first sound.
- Ask what other words start the same.
- Name the pictures yourself if your child is unsure.
Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
