A note for parents

Understanding "the same" is the first step toward equations. It teaches that two different pictures can show the same number.

How to help

Count one group, then the other.
Ask them to make two groups that are the same.
Draw lines between items to match one-to-one.

Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
