Recognising a quantity at a glance (subitising) is a key early number skill. Ten frames show how numbers sit inside ten.
How to help
- Count each dice together before drawing the line.
- Tap each dot as you count.
- Ask how they knew without counting for 1 to 3.
Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
