A note for parents

Knowing the pairs that make five (1 and 4, 2 and 3) is a building block for later addition. Five frames show this clearly.

How to help

  • Count the dots that are already there.
  • Ask: "How many more to make five?"
  • Try it with fingers too.

Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
