Level

Two- and three-part patterns.

Ink
Paper

A note for parents

Spotting what repeats is early math thinking. Your child reads the pattern, then draws the next items.

How to help

  • Read each pattern aloud: "leaf, acorn, leaf, acorn..."
  • Build the pattern with real leaves first.
  • Pictures do not need to be perfect.

Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
