A note for parents
Hearing the parts (syllables) in a word is a key reading skill. Clap once for each beat: ba-na-na has three claps.
How to help
- Say the word, then clap it slowly.
- Clap names of family members too.
- Check by counting claps.
Choose "Actual size" or "100%" when printing. A4 is 210 x 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 x 11 in. The black-and-white version uses less ink.
